Indecision

So, it's been awhile. I have been lazy, sitting at home, going to Jersey, playing video games, not applying for jobs, sleeping late, staying up watching tv: lazy

The only productive thing I've done recently is bake:

blueberry cheesecake

banana bread loaf 1

banana bread loaf 2

valentines cookies

homemade cookie cutters

My problem encompasses all areas of life. It is natural to be indecisive when it comes to big choices, or expensive ones, or things that are drastic, but my problem has infiltrated every aspect. It took me months to figure out which ice cube tray to purchase. Little or small, I am completely stumped. I never used to have this problem. I knew what I wanted, but not anymore. I can't figure out which profession I want, which laptop, which dining set, which ice cream scoop, which blu ray dvd player, what tv show to watch, what to browse online, when to get out of bed, etc. My life now equates to one gigantic question mark. After months of eating off boxes/on the floor, I finally boggled down and bought a coffee table. Yet, even after I second guessed my choice. Is this happening because so many decisions I've made have been wrong up until now?

The mattress I finally bought after months of sleeping on a run down futon.

Christmas Dinner

My first Christmas away from home turned out better than I thought. To keep in the spirit of the holidays I made BobaFett's traditional Christmas dinner with a large rib eye roast, carrots, mushrooms, green beans, mash potatoes, and pie.

I had to vary the pie. Usually mom makes an apple pie because at home we have this great apple peeler, corer, and spiral slicer that allows one to be done in 5 min vs 5 hrs. I instead made a berry cherry pie. It was fabulous. To make it a bit more holiday cheery I also made snickerdoodles. However, after the meal, no one even got to the dessert.

The usual gang of peoples came over to celebrate. Douh got way too drunk to make it to Christmas and had to be escorted home by Yako at 10:30pm. I suppose the food gave everyone massive food coma. I still have very little furniture so we sat in dining table formation, on the ground, in front of the fireplace. Next year... hopefully, I'll be employed and making enough money to buy seating.

Well, the next event may be a new years party. I'll have to clear out my stuff for that though. That may actually get rowdy.

In montauk

Semi-employment. I suppose keeping busy is good. Working, even overworking is better than sitting around and spending money. Last week I was in Montauk helping out on the movie "In Montauk" - a romance between a photographer and a composer. I believe the target audience is women over 45 but either way the cast and crew were very nice and everyone had a great time in the freezing cold.

The first night at Shagwongs. Thanks to Clive, the chef, we got in there for a nice meal within our budget!

Kim Cummings, the director, with Nina Kaczorowski the lead actress.

Brian Dilg the DP.

The art director/catering. haha

Jeremiah Kipp, the producer/AD

Tyler Cartner, the sound guy

The fuzzy thing

George Katt, the doormat husband

Mr. John's Pancake House amazing CORN FRITTER. Tastes so good. It's like cream of corn soup with more corn, battered, and deep fried.

Drinking on set!

Boba the Fett

My poor mommy came into town with my renovation still underway: no shower, partially functioning kitchen, half installed closet, dust and boxes everywhere, and no end in sight. This put a huge damper on my big Thanksgiving dinner plans but we made do. Mostly, we went out and ate everywhere. Being Boostier-less these days made it nice that I had some Mommy company.

Snuck a photo at Tim Burton's MOMA exhibit. Look how cute the roend guy is. Mom got to see the exhibit on the preshow cause she has the membership. Boostier, Douh, Chaybun, and I had to suffer through the lines, crowds, and the sauna that was the gallery on opening day. In the end we couldn't take it and sought refuge in the cafe. We'll just have to go back and see it again with less people.

Food at the modern is SO good. Look at that perfect pouch of fish. The Fett had the fish and I had quail that was cooked to perfection. Everything about the modern is so good. I basically spent all day at the Moma =D

I wanted to go check out furniture at my favorite furniture store, A & G Merch, so we decided to have lunch at Sea and have a walk around Williamsburg. Gotta love that BK.

Did you see the pic up there. Yes, that is the famed cheesecake from The Standard Grill that I have been craving for AGES. I finally got it yet they changed their blueberry compote to apple which was good but not as good. Winter. They offered a traditional Thanksgiving Supper that sounded pretty tasty but I doubt came anywhere near as awesome as cookfest 2007.

Cookfest 2009 was made by The Fett. Not a big soiree, but cozy enough with boxes as a dining table and packaging paper as a table cloth. The chicken mom made was great; mushroom, pancetta, almond sauce. Mmm. Our festive part of the meal had to be the yams...or maybe the pumpkin pie. (That by the way still doesn't cook in the right amount of time even with new fancy oven...)

Chikalicious had a fall themed dessert this time. Butternut squash soup with biscuits and honey thyme ice cream. So delicious.

My bunn fluff love!!!

Dreams

So it's been awhile. I've been dealing with my apartment that has been an on going fiasco. Today, however, is a day to celebrate. I have INTERNET in my apartment. There's no shower yet (been going to the gym to do that) but INTERNET is KEY to my survival. The iphone just doesn't cut it sometimes.

When unemployed you have to find things to do to keep busy. Mostly those things involve, food, visual entertainment, and drinks. However, these things cost MONEY, which when unemployed, and living off of the measly unemployment the government offers, it's just impossible. My goal of course is to get work that at least feeds me so I'm not spending money and my time is occupied by my own free labor.

Some pics from a "tv pilot" I worked on, for now called, Dreams. It's a show about models and how you're supposed to feel sorry for them. Yet, they're not models, and no one feels sorry for them. I think it'll be a hit. I stood in the freezing cold for hours for what felt like no reason.

Hopefully something interesting that needs an art department will float my way.

Wander around

NYC makes me wander around aimlessly. At least I've been catching 333pm pretty regularly.

First day back in Brooklyn, getting the moo special from Mikes, and walking around with a sick Boostier, makes it nice to be home.

I finally fulfilled my craving for cheesecake! This was so much better than these weird "cheesecake balls" I had in LA. They totally lied about what they were. As far as I could tell they were sponge balls soaked in sugar sauce. Really really weird. Nothing compares to a good graham cracker bottom.

Circus? in the Union Square? on a truck?
