So Sunday brunch started at 130pm when hunger beat out laziness and we decided to head over to Chavellas. The original plan for the weekend ride had been to go out to Governer's Island, but with the late start and no desire to leave familiar territory, we set out for a ride through our old neighborhood.
You know the place you're eating at must have decent food if it can stay open on a mostly deserted street, with a view of a rehabilitation center, and horrible service.
The view from my seat. So gorgeous. And I say this with utmost respect for Prospect/Crown Heights but I do not believe that is a fancy old homes for happy, retired, old people.
My breakfast sandwich in its half eaten glory.
That MB's undercooked, 'embryonic', huevos rancheros.
The after brunch stoop sit.
After biking through the old 'hood, stopping by that French Cleaners (Stuart and Wright) for a little stuff action, and getting an ice tea from Tillies, we decided to get a whole Sicilian 'pie'from non other than the famous Luigi's Pizzeria.
No that's not it. I didn't get around to taking a photo so that's an icecream sandwich from the day before. It's a bench. How awesome. I want one.
